Epilepsy and Seizure Disorders

Postby azlightworker » Wed Aug 12, 2009 1:40 pm

I'm wondering what the research says about using Binaural Beats in general, and i-Doser in specific, if a person has Epilepsy or a seizure disorder? My partner has a Seizure disorder brought on by the prescription Abilify, and when I first found these the person who introduced them to me said "of course hubby is not going to want to use these...."

However...
I'm thinking that may not be true. I'm interested specifically in using something along the lines of "Reset" to *balance* an on-coming seizure -to lessen it's effects or counteract it entirely. If you've ever seen a person have a seizure, they're painful, like someone's hooked up jumper cables to your gonads, and they leave the sufferer aching for hours or even days after-wards. If I can lesson that for my partner, I'd love to.

Is there documentation anywhere I can read to learn more?
I tried to use the "reset" when he felt a seizure coming on, but the dose is just too long. Since seizures are only .5-3 min things, an "uber-fast" dose designed specifically for this would be optimal. Something that caused the brain to "balance" or "Reset" while at the same time relaxing the muscles...

Perhaps a challenge for the i-Doser labs? :)
Thank you guys for all you do.

I know all too well about the pain of having a seizure I've had a few of them that were really bad..
They make you hurt every single inch of your body.. the day after is even worse for the physical pain of them.
Right after one you have no recollection of anything at all.. I didn't even know who or where I was.. It wasn't drug induced either.

I'm not sure if a binaural could lesson the blow of one or prevent one.. I do think they can cause an epileptic one though. I wouldn't recommend using one .
If you feel one coming on I think it's really too late to do anything about it because it's like an electrical storm in your brain..

I could be wrong though.

How much time does your hubby have when he realizes a seizure is imminent? I always assumed they weren't predictable and happen within seconds. I would think that it would be easier to create or spark a seizure using binaural beats as opposed to softening the results of a seizure.-Vega Sinclair, Individual Health Insurance Advisor
