# Receiver (Headphone) Specifications:
# Frequency Range: 86 - 108 MHz

This is what a website says about my headphones.
It sounds really lame, can it be the reason why I DOSER doesn't works for me ?

Hey guys,
I found some cheap headphones and they have 20hz-20khz so I guess they should work. But to make this sure I´m asking you. Please tell me if they work.

Postby Dustin8food » Wed Mar 04, 2009 8:11 pm

I am new to I-Dozer and have not experienced a dose that has worked, i am using some philps ear bud ones and whenever i play a drg. its really staticy, every one that i try is like that and i have tried like 3 or 4. also idk what to concentrate on.. are the headphones the reason why i havent experienced it yet?

Hi.
I got one question.
Which one is better?
www.amazon.com/Koss-Plug-Portable-Headp ... B00001P4XA 10-20000 Hz, 112 dB, fits to ears,
or
www.amazon.com/SHP2000-00-Philips-SHP-2 ... 233&sr=8-2 15-22000 Hz, 100dB

7–13 Hz = Alpha waves - Relaxation (while awake), pre-sleep and pre-wake drowsiness

4–7 Hz = Theta waves - Dreams, deep meditation, REM sleep

< 4 Hz Delta waves - Deep dreamless sleep, loss of body awareness

So.. You don't even stimulate Alpha, Theta and Delta waves? Since if those are the headphones you use while creating the doses and they don't even play back the frequencies...?

Or have I actually misunderstood something? :/

But yeah, I guess Gamma is where it's at, with the list of effects.. I just thought that I'm screwed since my headphones "only" respond to 10-22000Hz ... But well, I guess it should work then.. I've tried 3 different doses and the effect is always the same.. I just sink into the "noise", try to relax, then lose the sense of time as I'm doing nothing but focusing on the sound and... nothing else happens :(

The first one I tried was Marijuana2.. But I didn't use a "reset" dose in between. But do I have to, since there was like 2 hours in between of the tries..?

Damn.. I really really hoped these things would work.. Well.. I guess I'll keep on trying. I hope this isn't just a hoax.. Since it really sounds amazing and .. possible.

Oh yeah and is there anything else I should consider to check about my headphones? I mean, it'd be really useful to know what is a factor for them to work... Just the response frequency?

You know, if you'd just post the info that the headphones MUST HAVE, everyone could just check for themselves if their headphones have the proper requirements and they wouldn't be asking about all of the headphones separately..

But yeah, thanks in advance.. I will still try one before going to sleep.. but it feels like I'm just wasting my money away :(

I am also very confused about this can an admin or someone please reply !!!

I use some sony noise cancelling headphones. MDR-NC40 I think... anyways, they do the job. You don't need $200 headphones. And I have been able to use doses with ipod headphones and get the effects.

I'm not an expert but I'm pretty sure these are the waves that are created when the waves from each side collide (1008 Hz and 1000 Hz= an alpha wave for example). So frequency isn't really an issue, they just have to have good sound quality and cancel background noise. I hope that helped and I doubt the "official" headphone are much better than most others.
