Depends what degree. To be a Psychologist you need either a PH.D. or Psy.D. and they take a while. You either need bachelors or masters to be like a school guidance counselor I believe. Search the web, I've found a ton of stuff on it.

With just a bachelor degree in psychology, you can't do much. You may be able to be a social worker or work with children. You can do a lot but if you want to enter any medical field of psychology, then you need to then go onto graduate or medical school depending on what you want to do. What do you want to do? Why do you want to pursue psychology? I think you have a better understanding of the answer than we do. -Vega Sinclair, Individual Health Insurance Advisor

I'm a psychology graduate and I'm quite happy with my choice. I think psychology is a great degree because it's fairly general so you can do a wide range of jobs after graduation. With just an undergraduate degree you might be able to get a job as an assistant psychologist, a research assistant or a tutor. However, ultimately you would probably need to decide which area of psychology you find the most interesting and consider further studies (Masters degree followed by Doctorate degree). I guess the pay is not as good as if you did a business degree but I think it's more fulfilling. Good luck with your studies! Btw, this is just to give you an idea of what your career options and it's definitely worth contacting career services at your uni or look it up online.

I agree with Vega, you can’t do much with the bachelor’s degree in psychology because according to study revealed recently 25 percent of the people who are holding this degree are ending up with the high designated job rest all are striving hard for the jobs, so if you are looking for the bright future it is advisable to go for the graduation in same field. Also i think there should be some kind of applicant tracking software to keep monitoring the applicants which would be helpful in future.
