I've tried with visualisations once, but only for 5 minutes so not to suprising nothing happened but i dont like it so much and yeah opened eyes help watching something like visualisations
I'd say u dont need em just if u really cant concerntrate

I downloaded Trip qh last night. another one that makes you hallucinate is peyote. But I wouldn't do that unless you were experienced.
